Christmas Prop Hire
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we do with personal information you give us through this website. It applies to christmasprophire.com only.
Who we are
Christmas Prop Hire, The Coach House, 1A Dicconson Terrace, Wigan WN1 2AA. We are the data controller for information collected through this site. You can reach us at 01942 496 844, by post at the address above, or through our contact form.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. When you send an enquiry or use the contact form, that is your name, your business or organisation if you give one, your email address, your telephone number, the dates and type of venue you tell us about, your message, and the list of props you have selected.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking on this site, so we do not build any profile of your visit.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and arrange hire if you go ahead. The lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We will not add you to a marketing list or send you promotional email unless you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are stored on this website and emailed to us. We keep them for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our ordinary business records, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. It is handled by our web hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf under their own security obligations, and by anyone we are legally required to disclose it to.
Cookies and browser storage
See our cookie policy. In short: no tracking, and the props on your list stay on your own device until you choose to send them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email us and we will deal with your request.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page.
