We do Christmas.
You take the credit.
Shoppers walk fast, heads down. A giant nutcracker at the door changes that. Props, grottos and full installations — hired, installed, collected.

The festive production house
Christmas prop hire, from a single nutcracker to the whole North Pole.
Christmas Prop Hire brings 57 years in the festive trade to venues across the UK, working from our base in Lancashire. We hire the props that make venues impossible to walk past: giant nutcrackers, sleighs with realistic reindeer and Santa’s thrones, snow-clad trees and lighting, animated figures and photo-ready displays — delivered, installed and collected in January by our own team.
Retailers, shopping centres, hotels, attractions, councils and event planners hire from us to bring footfall through the door; plenty of private customers do it purely for the joy of it. And when a venue wants more than décor, we build the whole attraction — drive-thru grottos with real reindeer and the Magical Elevator to Lapland. Walk the advent-calendar catalogue, add anything you like to your list, and we’ll come back with one quote for the lot.
In good company
A few of the names we’ve dressed.
It’s never too early. It gets too late fast.
Too late = 7–10 days before Black Friday. Don’t be that phone call.
Good questions
Asked every year, answered here.
How far in advance should I book Christmas props?
Earlier than you think. Big brands and attractions book large installations 9–12 months ahead, medium retailers 2–6 months ahead, and smaller shops and venues 6–8 weeks ahead. It becomes too late 7–10 days before Black Friday — every year, someone finds out the hard way.
Do you deliver and install the props?
Yes — everything is delivered, installed and collected by our own team, anywhere in the UK. When January comes we take it all away again, so there are no ladders, no storage and no boxes in your loft until next year.
How much does Christmas prop hire cost?
Many props show their hire rates on their product page — typically a three-day, seven-day and six-week rate — and items for sale show their price. Larger props and full installations are quoted for your space and dates: add anything you like to your list and we come back with one quote for the lot.
Which Christmas props are most popular?
Giant nutcrackers, Santa’s sleigh with realistic reindeer, Santa’s throne, large decorated trees, animated figures and props built for photos — the pieces that turn passers-by into visitors and visitors into photographs.
Can you build a full grotto or Christmas experience?
Yes. We design, build and run complete experiences — the drive-thru grotto at Heskin Hall with real reindeer, and the Magical Elevator at Duxbury Park, where guests ride to Lapland and step into Santa’s living room. See what a full experience looks like.
Do you supply Father Christmas?
We do — real-beard Santas, festive entertainers and mascot costumes, alongside the props and staging that give them somewhere magical to be.
Do you sell props as well as hire them?
Both. Most of the catalogue is for hire, and there’s a dedicated For Sale aisle plus toys and gifts for grotto-givers. If you’re not sure whether to hire or buy, ask — we’ll tell you straight.
Where are you based, and how far do you travel?
We’re based in Lancashire — a Visit Lancashire Supplier Partner — and we deliver and install across the UK, from single shop windows to full attractions.
